Signs that gambling may be a problem

  • You spend more time or money on gambling than you can afford
  • You find it hard to control how much or how long you play
  • You hide gambling from family, friends, or your partner
  • You borrow money or sell things to gamble
  • You chase losses, telling yourself the next bet will recover them
  • Gambling affects your relationships, work, or health

Practical tools - set limits before you start

  • Deposit limits. Most reputable crypto casinos let you set a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit cap. Set it before your first deposit.
  • Loss limits. Decide your maximum acceptable loss for a session before you sit down.
  • Session time limits. Set a kitchen timer or app reminder - most operators support session limits in settings.
  • Self-exclusion. Every licensed casino offers self-exclusion (24 hours, 1 week, 6 months, permanent). Use it the moment you feel out of control.
  • Cool-off period. If you feel chase-loss urges, walk away for 24 hours. The urge passes.

Country-wide blocking tools

  • UK: GAMSTOP - free, blocks you from all UKGC-licensed gambling sites
  • US: Most states maintain a Voluntary Self-Exclusion List - search "[your state] gambling self-exclusion"
  • Global: Gamban - paid software that blocks gambling sites on your devices

Under 18 / Under 21

If you are under 18 (or under 21 in some jurisdictions), gambling is illegal and you should not be on this site. We do not knowingly direct content at minors. Operators we cover require KYC for cashout - your fake age won't survive a withdrawal.

Talk to someone

If you read this page because someone you love is gambling too much: GamCare's friends-and-family resources are a good starting point. You don't have to handle this alone.
