Rating methodology

The BettorRank Score (0-10)

Each crypto casino receives a BettorRank Score on a 0-10 scale. We only score what we can independently source and verify, so the number is reproducible. The score is a weighted average of the four criteria below. We deliberately do not fold in anything we have not measured (see "What we do not score yet").

CriterionWeightWhat we measure
Licence & safety35%Regulator tier (MGA, Curacao, Anjouan and others), checked against the regulator's public registry. Higher-protection jurisdictions score higher.
Payment breadth30%Number of supported deposit and withdrawal methods. More verified methods, more flexibility for players.
Operator stability20%Strength of the operator's affiliate program (revshare) and whether negative carryover applies. Both are real signals of whether an operator pays reliably and is financially stable.
Accessibility15%How many countries the operator blocks. Fewer restrictions, broader legitimate access.

What we do not score yet

We would rather show a gap than invent a number. The following are not in the score until we have measured them for a given operator, and a review will say so plainly:

  • Withdrawal speed. Where an editor has run a real-money deposit, played, then requested a withdrawal, we record the measured time and publish the on-chain transaction hash so anyone can verify it. For operators we have not put through that process, we show a typical payout speed estimated from the fastest network they support, clearly labelled as a network-based estimate rather than a measured test.
  • KYC friction. Added once we complete a verified KYC walkthrough for that operator.
  • Bonus value. Added once we have analysed the wagering terms (requirement, game contribution, max cashout, expiry) rather than just the headline offer.

What disqualifies a casino

  • License revoked or expired (verified by checking the regulator's public registry within 30 days of publication)
  • Confirmed unresolved player complaints on AffiliateGuardDog flagged "PREDATORY"
  • Retroactive T&C changes that void prior commissions or player winnings
  • Inability to verify ownership or licensing within 14 days of outreach

Refresh cycle

Every review is re-checked on a 30-day cycle. Bonus terms, payment method support, license status, and complaint history are re-verified. The "Last Updated" date at the top of every review reflects the most recent full re-check, not just a typo fix.

Conflict of interest

We earn affiliate revenue when readers click through our links and register with a casino. This does not influence the rating. Rankings are computed before affiliate relationships are considered. If we drop or fail to recommend a casino, we still maintain the affiliate relationship in case the operator's score recovers - but the page reflects the lower score honestly.

Independence

No casino, affiliate network, or operator has read this methodology before publication. No casino has the ability to request edits, removals, or score adjustments. Disputes are handled publicly on the editorial policy page.
